My Story
“I believe in each human and their journey to understand themselves in their
experiences”.
Amanda is a compassionate spiritual psychotherapist devoted to helping individuals
navigate the complexities of being a human in their own individual experiences holding
a sacred and respectful space for all that arises while working together. She firmly
believes that every person is shaped by their environment and that everyone enters this
world with a unique purpose and inherently good intentions. It is through the human
condition that trauma arises by way of experiences which can sometimes lead people
away from their path of self-actualization. Amanda is here to remind them of their whole
self and guide them on their journey to acceptance and healing.
Amanda understands that it takes immense courage to seek help during times of
struggle and great strength to be vulnerable with another human being. She feels
deeply honored to sit with individuals in these moments and holds profound respect for
the complexities of their lived experiences and recognize the function they served to
support the individual at certain timelines in their lifetime. She recognizes that struggles
can manifest in various forms, often overwhelming and isolating, but believes that the
process of counseling offers a unique way to identify those layers of conditioning and
false beliefs that inhibit the embodiment of one’s True Self. She supports clients find
another way as an opportunity to heal, clarify values, and align behaviours in a way that
brings meaning and purpose to one’s life.
Currently completing her Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Spirituality at St Stephens
College, Amanda takes a collaborative and existential approach to counseling. She
recognizes that each individual is the expert in their own life and lived experiences. Her
goal is to empower those she works with to recognize their innate value, focus on their
strengths, and build both inner and external resources. Amanda hopes to assist
individuals in achieving their goals by fostering hope, developing coping skills, and
nurturing resilience.
Beyond her professional work, Amanda values the importance of engaging in activities
that bring joy and restoration. She finds peace in nature through gardening, walking with
her dog, and reading a good book outdoors. She also enjoys somatic practices such as
yoga, meditation, paddleboarding, skiing, and spending quality time with friends and
family.
Amanda’s approach is rooted in the belief that, despite life’s challenges, growth and
enlightenment are always within reach. Through her guidance, she seeks to help others
reconnect with their true purpose and navigate their journey with hope and resilience.
